On
VE Day, a group of HLARA members did a presentation for Life Senior Services.
Member Joe Riddle brought a huge collection of Old Time Radio
Memorabilia. President Chris put together a 10 minute history of WW
II in old radio news clips and all the members brought fine examples of
restored radios. We used a transmitter so that the radios could
play the news clips just like they did in the 1940s. Everyone had a
great time and our presentation brought back many memories as there were
a lot of WW II veterans there. It was very touching to be received
by these genuine heroes. Thank you for our freedom.
